Peter Sandbach

Prior to setting up his own company in 2017, Peter was Head of Global Communication Training at the healthcare company, Roche. There he established the Roche Academy of Business Communications and was responsible for training senior executives and others around the company on presenting, storytelling and talking with the media. He also worked with many Roche scientists helping

them to get their message across to different audiences.

Peter was previously Head of Communications for Roche Partnering, helping to position the licensing arm of Roche as the partner of choice in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.

Before joining Roche in 2007, Peter was Head of Communication Services at Syngenta, the world’s leading agrochemicals and seeds company, where he directed all aspects of the company’s strategic communication materials, including a plethora of award-winning annual reports.

No stranger to controversy, Peter is a well-versed veteran of issue management. He started at Syngenta as Head of Issue Management, responsible for developing communication strategies on issues such as pesticides and genetically modified crops.

Before moving to Switzerland in 2001, Peter led biotechnology communications in the UK for Novartis, where he spearheaded the creation of the first UK industry communication initiative on genetically modified crops.

He began his communications career in 1995 at De Facto Consultants in the UK, the pioneering scientific PR agency that introduced Dolly the cloned sheep to the world.

Peter has an honours degree in biology from the University of Durham (UK).
